We are always talking about all the F*CKIN” LOSERS in the world and focusing on the bad stuff so I thought I would talk about something good today. Most of America is waiting anxiously for tomorrow’s release of the sixth film in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. The latest fantasy-adventure film is based on the popular books by J.K. Rowling. People across America are planning their Harry Potter parties and getting their Hogwarts uniforms dusted off for the big premier of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
It is a refreshing change when a series of quality films are made and the young stars of the Harry Potter films have not bought into the Hollywood wild life and have seemed to maintain a level of professionalism that many adult American movie stars like train wreck Lindsey Lohan have not been able to maintain. According to UK sources, Daniel Radcliffe, 19, Rupert Grint, 20, Emma Watson, 19, and Tom Felton, 21 have a combined wealth of $82 million and invested it well in real estate and a few well deserved toys! Let’s not forget the incredible success of the creator of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling. J.K. Rowling was a struggling single mother in Edinburgh, Scotland who received a grant from the Scottish Arts Council to finish her first Harry Potter novel. She sold Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 1999 for $4000 and by the summer of 2000 she had sold 35 million copies of the novel in 35 languages racking up $480 million in earnings. Now J.K. Rowling ranks number 2 in Forbes 20 richest women in entertainment, not bad for a woman who lived off of welfare for six months just 12 years ago!
